The project is scheduled to be carried out between 01.10.2012 and 30.09.2015. Its implementation is divided into six tasks, discussed in detail below.

Task 1

STATUS: COMPLETED, date of completion: 28.02.2013

Preparation of a precise concept of ABCDE (Automatic Belt Condition Diagnostic Equipment) system, the A-E modules comprising:

A: Machine vision system,

B: Magnetic system,

C: Prediction system,

D: Catastrophic damage prevention system,

E: Safety factor indicating system.

Task 2

STATUS: COMPLETED, date of completion: 31.08.2013

Analysis of commercially available non-destructive technologies and devices used for the monitoring of belts and other materials and evaluation of their potential to be adapted and incorporated in own solutions. Developing own solutions for modified modules (A and B) as well as for new modules (C and D). Adapting the modules for measurements on actual conveyors in operating conditions.

Task 3

STATUS: COMPLETED, date of completion: 31.12.2013

Implementing own solutions in independent modules A, C-E; customizing and adapting the purchased magnetic device intended as part of the constructed module B. Gradually adapting the measurement system.

Task 4

STATUS:COMPLETED, date of completion: 30.09.2014

Developing data-recording methods, testing functionality and verifying the quality of the solutions adopted for each of the modules A-E. Gradually enhancing the measurement system.

Task 5

STATUS: COMPLETED, date of completion: 31.03.2015

Developing an integrated system that would include all modules in one program and estimating the reliability level for damage detection. Completing the enhancement process of the measurement system.

Task 6

STATUS: COMPLETED, date of completion: 30.09.2015

Developing an integrated event record tool and methods for joint tests of the operating quality and the reliability of damage and failure detection.
